INSTRUCTOR TRAINING COURSE #4 - 600 HOURS COURSE DESCRIPTION: |

This course is 600 hours full time over a minimum of four months, 35 hours per week, five days per week, seven hours per day, Tuesday through Saturday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with a one hour lunch. Part time is over a minimum of 6 ˝ months, 23 hours per week, five days per week, 4 hours per day, Tuesday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 7 hours on Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with a one hour lunch. Time in this course is spent learning the technical skills of teaching cosmetology. This will include lesson planning, teaching principals, psychology, motivation, classroom training, and practice teaching. EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVE At the completion of this course the student will be qualified to pass the State Board Exam and receive an Instructor’s License. The student will be able to teach any phase of cosmetology in a cosmetology school and will be familiar with procedures for creating lesson plans and curriculums. TUITION – Instructor training |

Total cost of the above is $3,603.00, payable $100.00 at enrollment, $1,751.51 on the class start date, $1,751.50 thirty days from class start date. Students are allowed 42 hours of absences time at no additional charge. Any additional time required to complete because of absence will be charged for at a rate of $5.44 per hour. Fees for absence hours missed (beyond 42) are due on the scheduled graduation date. (A leave of absence will extend the scheduled graduation date.) Students may make payments on the additional fees in advance and money paid will be credited to their account. All regular tuition payments are due in advance each month. Tools, equipment and textbooks do not become the property of the student until all money owed to the college has been paid. ENROLLMENT
AND ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS Instructor
Training Classes
start on Tuesday of each seventh week and the entrance requirements are as
follows: ·
Must have a high school diploma or GED certificate ·
Have attained the age of 17 before taking the State
Board Exam ·
Proof of age - Birth Certificate or Drivers License ·
Free of contagious disease / possesses good moral
character ·
Have a personal interview with a school official and
pass an entrance exam ·
$100.00 Registration / Enrollment Fee payable to Independence College of Cosmetology. This fee is for processing all paper work
and is non-refundable after three business days. If the student decides to re-enroll at a later date, another
$100.00 Registration/Enrollment Fee will be charged. ·
Provide four 2x2 pictures taken within the last 2 years. ·
Provide 2 or more character references. ·
$25.00 money order for student license payable to State Board of Cosmetology. ·
Provide a transcript addressing basic training from the school where that training took place. ·
Provide industry related work history. ·
Provide industry related continuing education history. ·
Complete an enrollment form (supplied by the State Board of Cosmetology). ·
Provide proof of a current Missouri Cosmetology or Esthetics license. The
Missouri State Board requires two years of high school for the Instructors
Course. The Missouri State Board
requires the student to have a current license. |
